This is MY Story

I am just your average guy who made a decision in September 2008 that changed the course of my life forever. Actually it was knowing that I was about to be a dad set me on this course and both events have dramatically changed everything for me.

September 2008

In September of ’08 I was doing what every other normal person was doing. I was working a 9-5 in the technology industry while pursuing a deep passion to become a well known DJ. I loved performing at weddings and parties but my real quest was to make a name for myself in the electronic dance scene. That’s where David Olam was born and I was getting there until it was time to be a father.

It was at that moment I realized that if I wanted to get out of the corporate 401k bondage and give my family a better life, I would have to make a change. I had no idea what I would do since I was making decent money. All I did know is that I still wanted to pursue my hobbies, not have to change my lifestyle due to money and be a stay at home dad to help my wife raise our son.

In all honestly and transparency, I woke up one morning for work and fell to my knees in the bathroom with such a despair in my heart that I felt this heavy weight on me. It was then I started to cry so I lifted my head up to the heavens and prayed, “God, I don’t know what to do, I want to raise my boy and work from home. It’s time to grow and do something more in my life. Please help me.”

I just sat there hoping He heard me and would give something to go on. It wasn’t long before I heard the word, “Internet”. Now I really didn’t know what that meant outside of what it the internet is but as the days unfolded, I found myself on the internet looking for a way to make money from home.

That’s when things got very crazy. Because I didn’t know what to do or who to trust, my wife and I signed up with one MLM after another. We didn’t know any better but boy was their sales copy selling me on that dream I wanted. It didn’t take long before we both realized that we did not want to do your typical MLM because we did not like chasing friends and family, cold calling leads, talking to strangers and all the other uncomfortable stuff our upline told us we had to do.

Deciding against the rat race was actually an easy decision for me because family, friends and lifestyle are of my highest priorities. I also knew that I wanted to be 100% in control of my time, my income, and my life. So instead of quitting and believing I heard from God, I continued pursuing this online “thing” and I’m so glad I did… However,

It didn’t really go as planned…

I went after every new opportunity that promised big checks in little time. Now I wasn’t really looking for a get rich quick scheme but I realized the potential to make cash fast online was definitely a reality. Unfortunately, after tens of thousands spent on eBooks, courses, seminars and a bunch of other fluffy nonsense, I finally found something that was both rewarding for me and everyone else involved.

I don’t recall the ad or how I stumbled upon it, or may the ad found me but I do know, I had to find out more and do what this guy was doing. One thing about my nature as far back as I can remember, I was the guy who always wanted to help out others. I love to motivate and educate. Being in this industry for about a year now has really helped me develop a rock solid mindset and gave me the tools to actually reach my goals in record time.

So I remember contacting this guy by email, text and phone. I wouldn’t let him go until he told me what he was doing and how I could the same. He sent me to a site and I signed up. I knew that with the tools they could teach me, I could market ANYTHING and make a profit but not only that, I could duplicate this with anyone else that was willing to put forth a little effort.

The internet has changed all the rules.

Since then I have been able to put up this site your own all by myself but I highly recommend outsourcing if you can. It was definitely time consuming and learning curve. I just didn’t have the money any longer to put in so I went with sweat equity!

I have been able to reach thousands of people and help them build their network marketing business. I’ve been able to coach and mentor people to get their mindset corrected to believe that they can achieve anything they desire. I have been able to walk away from my 9-5 (actually they fired me because I just wasn’t “there” any longer) and stay home with my wife to raise our son.

And I never looked back. My online career was in full swing.

It feels so good to no longer hear my alarm clock going off or sitting in traffic. My desire is to help those in need and show them that they can build a very profitable business online. In the last year I have found multiple ways to do this so if you’re reading this and don’t do MLM, that’s OK. There are many lucrative ways to earn serious money on the internet.

I knew I wanted to leverage the internet because that’s how I found this industry. And because I found this industry via the World Wide Web, I was social proof that YES this ONLINE thing could be built through the vast power of the internet!

Listen, I had NO experience in internet marketing and all the past opportunities I tried did the following:

I was given a cookie-cutter crappy website promoting my business.

I was trying to “sell” and “convince” people I had the best business.

I was purchasing HUNDREDS of leads.

I was HORRIBLE on the phone.

I was posting bandit signs around my area.

I was cold calling prospects out of the yellow pages.

And the worst part: I had the mindset of a blue collar income earner because that was my reality!

Over the past year…

I quickly piled up over $20,000 in debt with nothing to physically show for it, and I stress the word physically. I also didn’t make a penny in profit during that whole time. I had creditors calling me, the banks calling me and I was just about to quit and conform back to a 9-5 but I knew I was created to tend MY garden, not some other mans garden. I will have the victory and I knew that I was only inches from that vein of gold.

Never quit! Never surrender!

During the past year I have embraced personal development. I have learned from every self-made millionaire I could find. I have read countless books, attended daily teleconferences, and I flew across the country with money I didn’t have to put myself in the same room as these self-made millionaires so that I could become one. I knew that we become what we think and tend to conform to those we hang around. Who are hanging around with? What do you think about all day and night? You are exactly where your thoughts have brought you and you will go exactly where your thoughts take you.

I learned how these men and women thought, what they focused on, how their minds worked, and I worked diligently every single second of every single day to mold my brain into that of a successful self-made multi-millionaire.

And I was starting to learn how to attract things into my life. I’ll tell you right now… This stuff WORKS! I was attracting millionaires and the right contacts. I was changing so much that my old friends pretty much stopped hanging out and I never said anything to them or acted any differently. I have learned to never guarantee anything based off of other peoples passions and desires. You will always find more who fail and walk away because they don’t have a stong enough reason or WHY to keep at it. Do you honestly think the majority of self made people just happened overnight?
